Kippy Hammond

The artist graduated with a BFA in Visual Arts from the University of Georgia. She followed other pursuits until 1986 when she returned full-time to the studio. Living in France since 1998, she continues to paint land and cityscapes as well as commissioned portraits for clients in the United States and Europe. Ms. Hammond teaches self-mentoring and art exploration workshops in France and through art facilities in the United States.
The artist also hosts visiting professional artists and students as the director of La Bonne Etoile Artist Retreat, a working studio/retreat at her home in France.
Her work has been recognized in numerous exhibitions and solo shows receiving state, regional, and international awards. Having exhibited in France, Italy, Russia, Taiwan, Curacao and throughout the United States, she is a signature member of excellence of the Pastel Society of America and the Southeastern Pastel Society.
In 2015-2016, her solo exhibition, “Foreign Influences” opened for the Tifton Museum of Arts and Heritage before moving to The Art Station, Stone Mountain, GA and Colquitt County Arts Center, Moultrie, GA. Ms Hammond was the international guest of honor at the Salon International du Pastel and represented France in the Europastel Exhibit “Il pastello contemporaneo in Europa” in Italy and St. Petersburg Russia. She lectured and demoed two years at the International Associations of Pastel Societies Bi-Annual Convention. Her work has been presented in the International Pastel Artists Invitational Exhibition in Taiwan, Juried Exhibition of the International Associations of Pastel Societie.
