Susan Lynn

A nationally recognized artist, Susan Lynn’s work is frequently featured in Plein Air Magazine and Fine Art Connoisseur, and has been the subject of feature articles in Plein Air and International Artist Magazines. While an accomplished watercolorist, in recent years she has added oils to her repertoire, expanding the creative possibilities of her work.
Susan has earned Signature Member status in American Women Artists and National Watercolor Society, and is an elected Artist Member of the historic Salmagundi Club New York. Over the last decade, she has participated juried and invitational plein air events throughout the US, including the highly competitive Plein Air Easton, Door County Plein Air, Cape Ann Plein Air, and En Plein Air Texas events. Her work has been selected for national exhibitions with the Oil Painters of America, the American Impressionist Society, the National Watercolor Society, and American Women Artists.
Her most recent awards include the Michael Willing Memorial Award at the National Watercolor Society 101st International Open 2021; the Elta Joyce Murphey Grand Prize at En Plein Air Texas 2020; the Mary Bryan Memorial Award & Gold Medal for Watercolor, RAA&M National Exhibition 2020; and Distinguished Achievement in Landscape Painting in "Looking West: An Exhibition Highlighting the Works of American Women Artists” at the Steamboat Art Museum in 2019.
In 2018, Susan moved from the Midwest to Rockport, Massachusetts, having fallen in love with both the beauty of Cape Ann and with fellow Rockport artist John Caggiano. In 2019, she opened her own gallery, the Susan Lynn Gallery & Studio at 79 Main Street in Rockport.
